Fuel Prices Expected to Rise in 2012

describe the image

Our friends at Software Advice wrote about the volatile oil and gas market and how they expect diesel prices to rise again in 2012.  The article also discusses some smart strategies you can employ for reducing fuel costs: streamline fuel procurement, improve operations and fleet management (including using highly-skilled drivers), and working to better plan delivery routes and shipment loads.  Click here to see the full blog.

In addition to manufacturers beginning to build more fuel efficient trucks and trailers, we have also seen buyers looking to buy just the right type of truck.  In the past, a buyer may have bought a truck that would exceed their needs just to be safe but now we see buyers looking to buy just enough truck to do the job.

What strategies are you using to control and manage fuel costs?  How do rising gas prices impact your buying decisions?
